Happy 21st Robby Don

Hey Rob...this is our birthday wish to you! We miss you and can't wait to see you in a few months!

The song we didn't sing, but wanted to is a song we learned on a birthday card that Uncle B and Aunt A bought for the boy. It goes like this "I like presents I like you, you make me feel all gooey gooey goo!"

We love you Robby!

Tarin's Work

Tarin had an assignment in school to write a sentence about what makes her happy and then to illustrate it. I was happy to see that the things that make her happy right now are not "things". Thought Nana would be SO happy to see this! Ella keeps asking for her Grandpa, the one that goes with her Grandma. Sometimes I wonder why we live so far away from grandparents. It seems that they are what make our children happy....or maybe just spoil them, I don't know for sure....

Notice how she gave herself a "Check +" That's what her teacher does when you have excellent work! Great job Tarin! Love the drawing....

Ella got a little upset when her artwork wasn't on the blog. This is a picture that Ella drew of herself in the swimming pool. She is wearing a sparkle dress swimming suit if you couldn't tell.

Off the Charts

So, today was the boy's well check. I took him in and we were excited to see what he might weigh. Well, he weighed (drum roll please) 26 lbs 10 oz and was 32 1/2 inches long... He was in the 90th percentile for weight and OFF THE CHARTS for height. His pediatrician says he doesn't look one day older than two. Anyway, I thought you might enjoy knowing exactly how big this big boy is.

You know, to ride most of the rides at disney world you only have to be 36" tall. At this rate, Walker will be able to ride the rides by the time he is 18 months.

CRAZY!

Birthday Boy!

This is the video of the birthday singing for our big boy. The kids had a blast watching him tear into his cake. He did to, obviously! It is hard to believe he is one year old. A friend that came tonite asked me if it had been a quick year, and to be truthful, it seems like a lot longer than a year ago that he was born. He has been a great baby, and a pure joy in our house. It isn't that he was a poor sleeper or a crier or a grump or anything like that. I think it was simply the transition from two children to three. All of a sudden there was SO much more laundry, and so much more to think about as we left the house. I am looking forward to another great year with my happy baby boy. To think about him ever being more than a baby is a little far fetched for me.

Here is the final cake eating photo! He really liked it!

This was promptly followed by a pre-bath in the kitchen sink, and then a real bath in the tub. I think he liked it, don't you. What you can't see is the cake....literally caked into his hair. We had to scrub it to get it out. It was good fun!

And the grand finale was the boy crashed out in a sugar coma on the floor in his jammies. Poor kid was just simply tuckered out after his big day.

Oh...what a good boy we have!

My Color

Take this test!
You're yellow, the color of joy and energy — two things you definitely bring to everyone around you. It's hard for anyone to be sad or lonely in your presence; your sunny disposition and cheery outlook just won't allow it. The warmth of your personality shines through in the kindness you show friends and family (and strangers, too). Always ready with a lighthearted joke or heartfelt compliment, you know how to make people feel good about themselves, so they can't get enough of you. Yellow is a warm and inviting color for a warm and inviting person — you!

I saw this on Emilie's blog and thought it looked like fun...Don't know if Yellow is the color for me, but it was fun!
